It’s hard to believe that Cat & Rich’s wedding day was a few weeks ago now – time flies when you’re having fun, eh?! Their fun filled wedding took place at the Parsonage Hotel & Spa in Escrick, perfect for weddings with it’s green grounds, secret wooded area and grand front entrance. It was a privilege to photograph a wedding here for the first time, and can’t wait to photograph another wedding there again!
All wedding stories begin with bridal prep and Cat’s story started bright & early at the venue. Bridal preparations gives me an opportunity to get to know the bridal party a bit more and gives lots of opportunity for storytelling as Cat was having her hair and makeup finished. I also met Rich and his groomsmen for a few photographs outside, and best man Charlie did a grand job with helping with a couple of arty ring shots as well!
Cat and Rich exchanged rings and said their vows in a newly refurbished ceremony room overlooking the grounds which was a great backdrop for photographs. I always enjoy photographing Summer weddings and they never fail to offer plenty of opportunities to photograph the bride and groom. It was lovely to see the sun out on the day, which always helps to make everyone happy, and the bouncy castle was well used.
All in all I had a blast at Cat and Rich’s wedding – fantastic weather, great food, fab venue, and most importantly, an amazing couple and family to work with, and I hope this isn’t the end!
